Linde MAPAX® modified atmosphere packaging systems seal in freshness to extend shelf life. The MAPAX system from Linde successfully inhibits the deterioration of food in a natural way — by combining the correct gas mixture , film and packaging equipment, to keep products fresh and appetizing and help reduce returns due to spoilage.

Ideal for trayed, bagged and pouched products, the MAPAX modified atmosphere packaging system can extend the practical shelf life of fresh foods typically by 200% or more compared to packaging in air. For example, the shelf life of raw red meat can typically be extended from 2-4 days to 5-8 days (at <38°F), and cakes from several weeks to up to one year. (See comparison chart below.)
